Baltimore Donut Bike Crawl
Humans retrieving doughnuts via bicycle. #crawltimore
Take a casual urban glide via bicycle through Baltimore City! Over approximately seven miles, each of five bakeries/shops will provide one doughnut to each Crawl participant.
Whether you have your own bike, rent one from a local shop, or through the Baltimore Bike Share Program, come out and have a great time -- nothing says #fatkidfitness like biking to a donut shop!
With a combination of traditional "Grandma" bakeries, "hipster" upstarts, and other pastry creatives, Baltimore offers a plethora of options for Crawl stops and pastry provisions.
Crawl Stop 1 -- Center Cut Doughnuts, Hampden, 3528 S. Chestnut Avenue
Crawl Stop 2 -- Blacksauce Kitchen, Remington, 401 W. 29th Street
Crawl Stop 3 -- Dooby's (Sundays Bakehouse), Mt. Vernon, 802 N. Charles Street
Crawl Stop 4 -- Diablo Doughnuts, Fell's Point, 717 S. Broadway Avenue
Crawl Stop 5 -- Hoehn's Bakery, Highlandtown, 400 S. Conkling Street
Come out on Saturday, June 3 -- the day after National Donut Day -- and join everyone in checking out the sweeter side of Charm City. Check-in will be held in Roosevelt Park starting at 10am, with the first biking group sent off at 11am.
The cost for participants is $25, and the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute will receive all remaining proceeds for Pediatric Ophthalmology research.
