**Sold out** An Evening With Pianos Become the Teeth

Sponsored by Flying Dog Brewery and Boordy Vineyards

Update: This show is officially sold out!

WTMD is thrilled to host this intimate, seated concert and live radio broadcast by Baltimore's own Pianos Become the Teeth.

Their new album, "Wait For Love," was just released in February on Epitaph Records, and has earned them high praise from critics and fans:

"The intensely serious post-hardcore band marks the turn from death and loss to life and love with nimble musicianship, inventive rhythms, and Kyle Durfey’s most accomplished singing yet," Pitchfork wrote, in a glowing 7.7 review of the record.

"Wait for Love shows that Pianos Become the Teeth have a firm grip on a sound and identity that's beautiful, poignant and wholly their own, and it shows that they can keep maturing without having to constantly recreate themselves." -- Exclaim

Formed more than a decade ago as a post-hardcore/screamo band, Pianos quickly amassed a loyal fanbase in Baltimore, routinely selling out clubs like The Ottobar. Then, in 2014, their career and music took an unexpected twist -- Pianos signed with the renown label Epitaph and released "Keep You," a softer, more foreboding album. There were moments of fury and moments of calm, with Kyle Durfey singing, not shouting, intensely personal lyrics. Critics and fans praised the band's new direction, and four years later, Pianos has continued to grow into this new sound.

This show will be limited to 100 seats in WTMD's performance studio. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the hour-long show starts at 8:30 p.m. It will be broadcast live on air. Ticket sales are donations to WTMD, a 501(c)(3) non-profit NPR music station. Sponsored in part by Flying Dog Brewery and Boordy Vineyards.
