Doubleheader - All Ages Family show at 4pm; Adult show at 7pm
The UUCC One World Coffeehouse is delighted to welcome back a hometown favorite for a special all-ages show. Sara Beck grew up in the UUCC congregation in the musical Beck family. She then moved to Nashville to pursue her music and her love for understanding how children engage with music. So much more than just an amazing voice and skilled songwriter, Sara recently completed her PhD in Psychology at Vanderbilt and is now an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA. Her teaching and research centers on how children’s active engagement with music and media can be leveraged to facilitate prosocial behavior and inclusion. As a lifelong musician and a firm believer that everyone can “do” music, she is interested in how making music with others can foster social bonding in both children and adults.
Don't miss this rare concert she is putting together for the child in us all, with special quests Vickie Beck (Volunteer Director of UUCC Youth Music) and the Chalice Lights. Appropriate for kids of all ages.
