On Saturday, October 21, join Sandlot and the Oyster Recovery Partnership in welcoming Scott Budden of Orchard Point Oyster Co. for a one-of-a-kind oyster shucking demonstration. Scott and his family have been farming oysters in the Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge for a little over two years in an effort to help restore the Bay and revive a once thriving product.
Each ticket includes 6-8 oysters, instruction on shucking, and a take-away gift. A percentage of each ticket will go to the Oyster Recovery Partnership which promotes and implements scientifically-based shellfish ecological restoration and aquaculture.
Also, each attendee will have the chance to win two tickets to the release party of the Snake Oil Hot Sauce collaboration brew with Flying Dog Brewery. Additional tickets for the raffle can be purchased, and 100% of those sales will go to the Oyster Recovery Partnership.
