Emily Julia Kresky:
Emily Julia Kresky is a multifaceted singer-songwriter, guitarist, and performer who blends styles of blues, rock, and folk with a retro twist. Born and raised in northern New Jersey, she relocated to Charlottesville, Virginia in the winter of 2014 and quickly immersed herself into the local music scene. She has since appeared on many stages throughout Virginia including Blue Grass Valley Music Festival and Jammin’ Java. She performs both as a solo act and with her backing band, The Point, and was in the duo Together Soul for three years. She released her first solo EP, “No Place to Be”, in March, 2018. She celebrated the release of this album in New Orleans during the 2018 Jazz & Heritage Festival with two shows at The Howlin’ Wolf Den. Emily’s music is rooted in a deep pool of inspiration that began with a love of writing and expanded to complex songwriting that draws from various playing styles such as roots and blues-shuffle to create her authentic and recognizable sound.
Shawn Shakya shares his passion, love, and humor with you from the stage.
Equal parts soulful, playful, and romantic, he’s giving away one free T-shirt to the first couple to make a baby while listening to his music or watching him perform. He’s performed auxiliary background vocals for acts at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia and at Constitution Hall in DC, has worked as a studio session vocalist, and played for years in an actually pretty good six piece cover band. “I sing really well. I play the guitar not as well as I sing, and I play the piano not as well as the guitar”.
Wyght Gold is a singer/songwriter/recording artist out of Annapolis MD. His music is a Americana folkie mesh between Bob Dylan, Wilco, Connor Oberst, with a hint of Pink Floyd and Nick Drake. He performs honest heart felt songs with a retro aesthetic and surreal air of dark nostalgia. His music haunts the open mics and shows of the Annapolis arts district.
