The Department of Theatre presents Studio 3's Spring 2017 production, Suddenly Last Summer by Tennessee Williams.
Catherine Holly has witnessed the murder of her cousin Sebatian, which has sent her to a psychiatric hospital. When Sebastian’s mother, Mrs. Venable, invites a psychiatrist to question Catherine about her story, she paints a picture so graphic it’s almost unbelievable. Mrs. Venable would rather not believe it and have her son’s secrets remain secrets. In one of Tennessee Williams’ most haunting pieces of writing, how far will a mother go to preserve her son’s reputation?
Studio 3 is the Department of Theatre’s Student Laboratory Theatre presenting student directed one-act plays. Suddenly Last Summer is directed by student Hannah Kennedy.
This show runs 90 minutes with no intermission.
There is no late seating and no re-entry allowed in the Black Box theatre. If you exit the theatre during the performance, you will not be allowed to re-enter.
