Hill Country Live Presents

 Time Sawyer:

Time Sawyer is interested in “real people and real songs” and that’s just what the listener finds in their music – a sense of realness. Time Sawyer blends a grassroots feel with heart-felt lyrics to put on an entertaining show. From introspective ballads to high-energy crowd-pleasers, Time Sawyer’s songs land in that rootsy sweet spot where folk, alt-country, and rock gather for a good time.

The folk rock band’s name reflects the pull between the past and the future. The character Tom Sawyer evokes the rural background and love of home that the band shares. Time is a muse for songwriting; it’s the thread that runs through life, bringing new experiences and giving us a sense of urgency, while still connecting us with our past.

Time Sawyer has performed on the stages of some of the Southeast’s most iconic festivals, including Merlefest, Floydfest, Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion, Rhythm n’ Blooms, Carolina in the Fall and IBMA’s Bluegrass First Class. They’ve shared bills with Langhorne Slim, Eric Krasno, John Moreland, Steep Canyon Rangers, The Wood Brothers, Susto, and many more.

The memorable lyrics and strong melodies result in songs that will stay in your head long after the music stops. Time Sawyer continues to develop a loyal and growing fan base. Whether they’re playing in an intimate listening room or a large outdoor festival, their goal is to forge a face-to-face connection with the audience so that they become friends who happen to be fans.www.timesawyer.com

Tom Mackell:

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Tom Mackell might surprise listeners with the southern influences in his music. After attending college in the south, he made the necessary pilgrimage to Nashville in 2015 to find inspiration, collaborate with diverse artists, and build his unique voice and sound that juxtaposes Northern roots against traditional Southern sounds. Tom’s style is as diverse as it is accessible, from easy listening, beachy tunes to late-night tailgate jams. Tom is no stranger to the road: he has toured across the nation with Sister Hazel as well as The Voice alumnus Tony Lucca. Tom co-wrote “Restless Heart” off Lucca’s new record “Ain’t No Storm” which hit #3 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter chart in March 2019. Now calling Charleston home, Tom has a brand new EP titled “A Life I Once Knew” that will surely become a go-to record for any Americana, country, and acoustic music fan. Dizzy Dames:

Dizzy Dames’ passion for music started in his hometown, Andover, MA, at the age of 10 when  he received a drum set for Christmas. Over the years he gained versatility and the ability to
collaborate as he played in multiple bands and constantly discovered a love for new nstruments. In time, Dames was able to play guitar, bass, drums, keys and ultimately sing lead
vocals. As a young adult, Dizzy Dames played shows in the Boston area and other New England cities. In 2014, Dames moved to Los Angeles forming new bands and playing shows with the
goal of harnessing his own sound. In 2018, Dames decided to make music independently while being mentored by other successful producers in the LA area.
Dames curiosity and drive pushed  him to compose, play and write all songs on his new EP “Something Meaningful.” Dames pulls
inspiration from Bon Iver, Tame Impala, MGMT and Washed Out. Dizzy Dames is currently  touring the US and he will release new music in the near future.
